E*Trade Files Monthly Operating Report

Improvements still happening in both the brokerage and loan portfolios.

The only thing holding back a potential buyer of E*Trade (ETFC) is a potential problem with its loan portfolio. With every month that goes by and the portfolio continues to improve, the likelihood of a potential buyer stepping up increases. TD Ameritrade (AMTD) continues to be the odds on favorite to be the buyer, most likely because its CEO keeps talking about buying them.
