UPDATE: I am hearing Ackman will use his allotted time to speak as a pure Q&A with the audience. Given recent events, I am sure it is going to be well worth seeing…
This a great event for a great cause. All proceeds from the event go to the Boys & Girls Harbor. I’ll be there so if you decide to come, please stop by and say hello.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2013
Registration 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. | Speakers 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
Networking Reception to Follow
JPMorgan Chase Conference Center
2nd Floor Auditorium, 383 Madison Ave., New York, NY
The 2013 Harbor Investment Conference is pleased to welcome David Weinreb, CEO of The Howard Hughes Corporation; Andrew Feldstein, CEO and CIO of BlueMountain Capital Management; and Mick McGuire, Founder and Managing Member of Marcato Capital Management to its already impressive speaker roster. They join Pershing Square Capital Management Founder and CEO Bill Ackman, Bow Street Managing Partner Howard Shainker, and UBS AG Managing Director Mona K. Sutphen. To learn more about the conference, please see our website.
. Past speakers have included Bruce Berkowitz, Steve Roth, Boaz Weistein and others.
Given the timing of the event, one has to wonder if Ackman uses it to rebut recent bull cases for $HLF. He did say that Pershing would respond to $HLF “in the coming weeks”. This does match that time frame.
The mission of Boys & Girls Harbor is to empower children and their families to become full, productive participants in society through education, cultural enrichment, and social services.
About the Harbor:
Boys & Girls Harbor is a place in Harlem where young minds see a future for themselves and a world they never imagined. We identify the inherent gifts of young people and nurture them. We develop their intellectual character and expose them to experiences that help them discover their real potential. We give them a sense of place in the world — in the greatest city in the world. And it begins at the Heckscher Building, a vibrant hub for education and the arts.
The Harbor is an education-focused organization committed to providing an Individual Learning Plan for every Harbor student to assure comprehensive academic training and emotional development, enriched by infusing the arts into our culture and curriculum.
We help give Harlem kids perspective beyond a 10-block knowledge.
