From $0 to $850M A Month In 4 Years….

“Davidson” submits:

Quietly a new industry for export is rapidly building, LNG(Liquid Natural Gas). The has long exported natural gas to Mexico and Canada via pipeline. With the innovations in exploration entering this sector in 2005 such great quantities were discovered that falling costs made it economical to export as LNG. Cheniere Energy(LNG), founded in 1996 by Charif Souki, an immigrant from Lebanon. Initially an oil-and-gas exploration company, Souki shifted its focus in the early 2000s to developing import facilities for LNG terminals , beginning with a terminal in Sabine Pass, Louisiana in March 2005. The company faltered in the late 2000s as LNG imports dried up due to international competition. However, in the late 2010s, as natural gas production rose in the United States, the company shifted to redeveloping as an exporter of LNG to international markets. Chart Industries(GTLS), an equipment producer for gas-to-liquid-systems, is a major supplier to Cheniere Energy and others in the industry globally.

Today Nat Gas Exports have grown to $2.084Bill/mo. Beginning in 2015 LNG Exports have grown from non-existent to 0.85Bill/mo. Natural gas, known as a ‘green fuel’, is responsible for reducing US CO2 emissions to levels last seen 30yrs ago by being used to replace coal electric generation. Technological innovation in equipment is driving costs lower which increasingly makes LNG the preferred fuel for remote locations and for power generation in Developing Countries. Argan(AGX) and New Fortress Energy(NFX) are growing revenue building global natural gas power generation systems. (Each company mentioned are portfolio suggestions)

LNG exports now represent more than 40% of exports with more export facilities planned. This is a growth story of which receives little media attention that has been created through multiple innovations that we tend to take for granted but to which it is well worth calling attention.

At more than $2Bill/mo, natural gas is currently a $24Bill export in high demand. Also in high demand are the technologies developed in the US for using LNG efficiently.
