ESL investments did NOT recently raise the $9B in the SEC filing dated 12/31/2009.
The filing was an amended filing from the 2007 raising of the $9B. ESL is required to file an update once a year until the offering is officially closed.
I have deleted the Sears post I did on the subject as posts have a way of finding themselves to the internet permanently even though corrections are issued and I did not want erroneous information out there if I could prevent it.
