Atlas Shrugged has gotten alot of press because it was supposed to be Greenspan’s favorite book and thus the book that destroyed America. Plenty of blogs from the Big Picture to the HuffPost to the Onion mock and satire it while the WSJ Editorial page still touts it. So, which side is driving the sales? Probably both.
There is one thing I’m fairly certain about, no more than 1 in 10 of the people who buy the book will actually finish it.
BTW sales of Mein Kampf and marijuana growing guides have also surged of late. Presumably by different segments of the population. I just can’t see stoners being into Hitler.
