Todd thanks for the post again Lampert not making me feel to comfortable but that is how he is.

What do you think is making the stock move higher – please don’t say Cramer.

TELL LAMPERT TO FOCUS ON SEARS AND NOT READING AND REFERRING BOOKS.
EVERYTIME THIS IDOT SPEAKS ITS ALWAYS NEGATIVE.

no…its not cramer.

it is math….very few shares trade, any buying activity is going to cause a price jump

Todd after the buyback how many shares will be on the float.
The Ackman sale put alot more out there.

msf…

already answered this is post..come on man…keep up

123 current…at current prices about 106 after

Jt,

i do not know for sure..but i have heard nothing to say they aren’t…sorry can’t be more sure

no problem… thanks.. you still bullish ? I bought more shares today I just wanted to check your overall mood.

One thing you have to admire about Lampert is he is not playing to the crowd.. couple that with the fact that he has the majority of his wealth riding on SHLD, helps me sleep at night.

vlado very true.
One point was brought to me, Lampert and his family currently are billionaires so he is in no rush to get rich because he already is, so he can be setting up Sears for a much longer investment not benfitting current shareholders now but later shareholders like our grandchilderen.Remember he gets paid by ESL. Something to think about.
What do you think,Todd.

Does anyone know how many shares of Sears Lampert personally owns it appears he owns none. He owns them through ESL and not directly.

Where as Autonation and Autozone he owns shares directly and through ESL.

I tell you this moron is sending out $100 checks to over 30000 families.

Why doesn’t this idiot send some money to his shareholders. He acts as if Sears is making money.

I tell you I got to get out of this stock this guy is not normal.

msf,

lampert has virtually all of his wealth in rbs and esl, anything owned by them, consider it direct ownerhip by him…

like buffet and brk

Todd, however, Lampert personally owns shares of Autonation and Autozone which is also owned by ESL but owns none personally of Sears.
I also have a question about when I hear the shors on a paticular company have so many days to cover,,,when you short you can cover when you want,,,why do they say they have so many days to cover.

days to cover means if every short tried to cover, based on the current average daily volume, it would take that many trading days for them all to do it.

the longer…the more extreme the short squeeze

How do you feel about this analysis the auto industry is hurting at the moment so they are holding on to their cars once the economy picks up the ir cars will be older and many will buy new cars making auto dealers alot of money,,,,,,,in short if Lampert merges Autonation and Autozone with Sears shareholders of Sears will be very ,very happy.

What do you think Todd.

Here is another assumption, the CEO position is still available could Lampert be waiting for the merger and put Mike Jackson the CEO of Autonation in the seat.

His plan is in motion.

they can buy back whenever.. they still had $72m under the old buyback and once the new one is announced, they can begin buying

an,azo,shld..have been saying that for months

They already announced it do you mean announce that they are starting to actutally buy the stock now on the market.

Todd did you add to your position. Also, you didn’t answe my last question regarding the buyback.

no…i have said and still think no mass retailer other than wal-mart is a buy now…

i may after jan.

there is no way to know about buybacks until sec filings are done

i do not think this xmas season will be that great and anticipate another market sell off… i meant to say jan earnings (Q4)

this rally will not hold

I agree with you,,,,,,however, regarding Sears its earnings were terrible and the stock went up don’t you think the same will happen again.
