Today’s Durable Goods Number Does Not Indicate Recession

Durable Goods Orders follow complex global shifts. Durable Goods Orders(DG) reported lower today and the past several months do not portend recession as many forecast. DG is also sensitive to shifts in the US$( Trade Weighted US$ Index Major Currencies). The recent decline in DG can be attributed to recent strength in the US$ as many other economic indicators remain in solid uptrends.
